About the word “Namu” (南無)

The word namu originates from Buddhism.
It means “to entrust oneself with reverence and devotion.”

For example:

Namu Amida Butsu — I entrust myself to Amida Nyorai (Amitābha Buddha).

Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō — I devote my heart to the teachings of the Lotus Sutra.

Namu Daishi Henjō Kongō — I offer my respect and trust to Kōbō Daishi (Kūkai).

In essence, namu expresses a heartfelt sense of prayer, gratitude, and surrender—
a quiet, profound resonance from the depths of the spirit.

This artwork was created with that energy of namu within it.

【「南無（なむ）」】
仏教に由来する言葉で、
「敬意をもってすべてをゆだねる」という意味があります。

たとえば、

「南無阿弥陀仏」＝阿弥陀如来に身も心もおまかせします

「南無妙法蓮華経」＝法華経という教えに心を捧げます

「南無大師遍照金剛」＝弘法大師（空海）に敬意を捧げ、信頼を寄せます

つまり「南無」とは、
“心からの祈り・感謝・ゆだねる気持ち”を表す、
深く静かな響きをもった言葉です。

その「南無」エネルギーを込めて制作いたしました。
