On September 10, 2024, I was involved in a serious traffic accident during my first visit to Thailand.

While I was fortunate to survive, this event brought a profound shift to my life. In Japanese, the word for "hardship" (大変) is written with characters meaning "a great change." Just as the word suggests, within the depths of despair, I found myself facing a quiet rebirth of the soul.

This piece was born from that uncertainty—painted by following the flickers of light and emotion that rose from within when the future seemed lost. It has become a "special piece," distinct from any of my previous works.

It carries a gentle, honest realization: "We are not always meant to be positive."

Even when the future feels closed off, a light of hope is always by your side. This artwork quietly embodies that prayer and the energy of regeneration.

In the bottom right corner, a single butterfly flutters. In the spiritual world, the butterfly is a symbol of the soul's growth, transformation, and rebirth. The butterfly in this art watches over your inner changes and serves as a guide for your journey.

May this piece sit gently within your space on days when your heart wavers, serving as a beacon to help you find your way back to your true self.

2024年9月10日、私は初めて訪れたタイで交通事故に遭いました。
幸い命に別状はありませんでしたが、この出来事は私の人生に深い変化をもたらしました。

「大変」とは「大きく変わる」と書きます。
まさにその言葉どおり、絶望の中で
私は静かに生まれ変わっていく自分と向き合うことになりました。

先が見えない不安の中で、
ふと湧き上がってきた感情と光を頼りに描いた一枚です。

今までの作風にはない「特別な一枚」となりました。

この絵には、「人はいつも前向きでいられるわけではない」という、
やさしくて誠実な気づきが込められています。

未来が閉ざされたように感じるときも、必ず希望の光はあなたのそばにある。
そんな祈りと再生のエネルギーを、このアートは静かに宿しています。
